Mark Witkower

Mark Witkower’s life-long passion for math, science, and computers had all his friends convinced that this “left-brain” kind of guy could have no interest in anything requiring an artistic flair.  However, after retiring from more than 3 decades as an IT executive for Fortune 500 companies, he proved them wrong when he began combining his love of math, computers, and art.

Mark’s holds a degree in Environmental Science from UCLA and a Master’s from California State University Fullerton. While working on a PhD at UCLA, he was recruited to work in the computer field. His more than 35 years in IT included positions as Vice President of Advanced Technology for Walt Disney Worldwide Services in Burbank, and Vice President of IT for mega-retailer The Gap in San Francisco.

Mark’s hobbies over the years have included woodworking and furniture restoration, as well as metal working and restoration of cars. So combining woodworking, metals, and the use of math to create new geometric shapes somehow all merged in retirement and morphed into the new art forms Mark now produces!
